During my makeup process, one of my favorite parts has always been lips. Whether that be just a simple liner and gloss, that perfect bold red, or even just using a highlighter - I have always felt that even if you barely have any makeup on, wearing something on the lips always completes a look. To be honest though, I have narrowed down my collection so much that I pretty much wear the same four things depending on A. what I'm wearing and/or B. what I'm doing that day - so today I'm going to show you them.
My go-to liner has been the Creamy Long-Wear Lip Contouring Pencil by Fiona Stile in Doña Amelia ($16) - that is a mouth full. This liner in particular has been my favorite because I can honestly wear it either by itself or underneath any nude, pink, or mauve lipstick or glass I already own, so it's very versatile. The color of the product itself is the perfect pinky nude for my particular lip color, so it's awesome for slightly over lining my lips. Fiona Stiles range is also affordable, compared to others on the market, with pretty much all her lip products costing just $16.
Since getting rid of all my MAC lipsticks, finding my new favorite nude has been slightly challenging. I knew I wanted something pink toned and the formula needed to be creamy and pigmented, so when i found the Mineral Fusion Lipstick in Nude ($14.99), I knew I had found all that and more. When I started looking up cruelty free brands, Mineral Fusion was one of the first ones I found, and I also knew I could find it at my local health foods store. This lipstick is full of antioxidants and Vitamins C and E which keep your lips conditioned and protected throughout the day. Another thing I love about it is that it's fragrance free and 100% Vegan. I will wear this lipstick either by itself or with a liner depending on how much time I have.

One thing I am so HAPPY about is lipgloss making its comeback in the beauty world. I always loved a glossy formula on myself, because I don't have the largest lips, gloss has always helped them look plump and fuller. My current obsession is the cult favorite, NARS Lipgloss in Chelsea Girls ($26). I love this lipgloss because the color is EVERYTHING. It's the perfect 'pink beige' that can be worn on top of virtually anything. It adds just the perfect amount of color so it can also be worn simply by itself as well. This sucker is always in my purse no matter the occasion.

Last, but not least, the star of the show, Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Icon ($28). Every single time you all have seen me in a red lip, it has been this bad boy. I received this as a Christmas gift from Connors family and it has honestly been one of my absolute favorite reds I have ever owned - and I've owned A LOT. It is described as 'The Universally Flattering Red' and it can't be anymore spot on than that. The red is slightly more blue toned so it's perfect for making your teeth appear more white and the finish is a perfect modern (less drying) matte. The formula lasts, on me, for about four hours and then fades evenly to a stain without any flaking. Honestly though, the thing that sold me on this product is the custom doe foot applicator. This makes it so easy for you to apply on the go without a liner which is something not many products can do. On top of all that, it is also 100% vegan and contains Vitamins A, C and E. I definitely need to purchase more in different colors.
And there you have it - the current round up of my absolute favorite lip products!
